Sappi: Softwood Screening Attendant
The main responsibilities of this job are:
- Assist with the start-up and shut down of the plant
- Perform routine inspections and cleaning, and report defects as necessary
- Take samples for testing as per BOP
- Assist with removal of blockages
- Identify abnormal / emergency plant conditions and take corrective actions according to the standard
- Isolate plant as required (Authorized Operator)
- Complete checklist during plant walkabout
- Perform housekeeping with the team – focus on the area of responsibility.
- Communicate with Shift Superintendent with regards to abnormal conditions and breakdowns
- Communicate with Maintenance employees with regards to maintenance work
The ideal candidate should have:
- Matric (Maths and Science) / N3 Pulp and Paper
- 06 months experience in a Production Environment
