Job Description

DSV: Senior Customer Service

Basic Minimum Requirements: Matric

Tertiary Qualifications: Added Advantage – Supply Chain / Logistics / Administration diploma / certificate

Additional Computer Skills:

  • Ms Office Suite – Intermediate level
  • CargoWise – Essential
  • VFT – Advantage
  • Warehouse Management System – Advantage
  • Sound Information technology with ability to quickly learn new systems.

Job Related Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage (both Air and Seafreight)
  • Tracking and Tracing systems working experience, escalations of incidents or out-of-time windows
  • Experience in Planning of loads
  • Must be able and willing to work 12 hourly shifts, including nightshift
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Be able to work overtime
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Excellent administration skills required
  • Ability to think pro-actively and under extreme pressure
  • Ability to ensure attention to detail / accuracy
