DHL: General Worker (Entry level)

Job Description

Transport Store Room and Yard Housekeeping
Daily recording Opening/Closing Dip reading
Daily Vehicle refueling and accurate recording of information
Control Securing equipment and distribute accordingly to the Outbound Team for loading.
Assist and direct Shunter drivers whilst docking vehicles for loading
Coupling and Uncoupling trailers from the truck tractors when required
Plug Refrigerated trucks on electricity standby points at night
Assist transport office team with any general task to be done
Ensure correct use of equipment and to timeously report any defects
To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer merchandise
Maintain high levels of hygiene of the vehicle
To work within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business
When carrying out duties – follow operating procedures and safe working practices
