Key Outputs

  • Achievement of cost Centre financial targets and key performance indicators (KPI’s)’
  • Effective control of cost Centre expenses and Work in progress.
  • Ensure effective communication between team and management.
  • Ensure service work is carried out in compliance with quality standards (OEM guidelines)
  • Apply Barloworld Equipment leadership philosophy.
  • Apply warranty policies and procedures, this includes warranty decisions and service warranty investigation.
  • Resolve internal customer queries.
  • Ensure outputs of service audits are achieved.
  • Reporting of team KPI’s and prospects.
  • Achievement of a team environment that enables maximum productivity and profitability
    • Performance management of team
    • Competency development of team (Including 1 hour – training)
    • On-the-job supervision
    • Staffing & Safety of team and environment

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

  • Qualified Artisan, (Mechanic in relevant trade, e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) with minimum 5 years post-apprentice / learnership experience
  • Leadership potential (Part of DAP) – able to achieve results utilizing talent in team.
  • Driver’s license Code 10.
  • Computer Literate (MS Office & SIS, ET, SAP, CRM)
  • Having acted as Supervisor is an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of job costing and administration.
  • Sound understanding of warranty policies and procedures
