Entity and activity description

The HR Generalist Intern will be provided with continuous coaching, mentoring and on the job training related to all human resources generalist functions.

Missions and Responsibilities

  • B-BBEE and Communication
    • Coordination and administrative support of EE
    • Coordination and administrative support of Socio-Economic Development (CSI)
    • Coordination and administrative support of BBBEE programmes, agenda and initiatives
  • EE Management
    • Manage all administrative aspects of the EE portfolio assigned by the Training Manager
  • Assisting Human Resources Business Partners
    • Splitting of the leave report monthly and sending it to the HRBP’s
    • Checking the union membership against payroll and sending it to the HRD
    • Minutes for the HR meetings
    • Rotate to reception once a week
    • Manage the new joiner filing before it is handed over to Wendy Rootman for final checking
    • Ensure long service certificate are signed and distributed to relevant Departmental Manager
    • Updating and getting signatures for the Organograms
    • Splitting of the Overtime report into the relevant areas and compiling the Stats for the HRBPs
  • Assisting Skills Development/Training with the following:
    • Administrative assistance – retrieving information from relevant parties
    • Requesting of quotes from suppliers and following vendor application processes 
    • LMS Reporting – Internal and external training 
    • Following up on PTP process
    • Assistance in coordination of training 
    • Assistance with onboarding and induction process of Shosholoza’s

Competencies and Profile

Qualifications include:

  • 3 year University diploma or degree with a focus on Human Resources OR Honours degree in HR
  • Fluent in English
