Job Description

Overall Job Function:

The incumbent will be responsible to assist production personnel and function with the planning, organizing, coordinating and control of the shop floor related training requirements and conduct necessary training and assessment. To ensure improved communication with the training department and that production targets and strategies are met.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To assess competence of operatives in the respective area, upgrade competence required level to support improvement in quality and output of product produced
  • To ensure legislative and Policy requirements are adhered to
  • Compilation of the Quarterly Training in conjunction with line management
  • To communicate with employees and line management when their training will take place
  • Support the company’s strategy of continuous improvement towards World Class Manufacturing
  • To determine the current skills and consequently what skills development is required for the forthcoming year
  • To increase the talent pool to support the overall Business Strategy of Growth
  • Ensure new employees are inducted into the business covering all company procedures and processes
  • Inducts new Leaners on the Unemployed Learnership program conducted annually

Job Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Education Training and Development Practitioners Qualification or HR related Qualification and any Technical Factory related qualification will be beneficial
  • Assessment and Facilitator Certificate
  • Train the Trainer Certificate
  • Full understanding of all operations within the specific area and broad knowledge of factory
  • Knowledge of SAP software, Internet and MS Office packages
