  • Responsible to lead the “Purchasing Launch steering” team ensuring the successful introduction of local content projects
  • Represent purchasing in various project organization structures for new models, (Base Launch & PU’s)
  • Coordinating project activities within Purchasing and between the various project organization structures
Preparation and reporting of:
  • Status reports & timing plans regarding the progress of purchasing projects
  • Analysis reviews of various scenario landscaping for new and current model
  • Steer and coordinate the AWR (Are We Ready) meetings.
  • Support in monitoring the PQM’s, audit incidents and build incidents in order to achieve the QZS/QZF targets.
  • Monitor and report the pre-PZS (Process Series) and PZS dates and results in IPQ.
  • Develop, review and implement “Purchasing Launch steering” processes on a regular basis to meet project objectives. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Technical /Commercial discipline and/or further education preferably in Project Management or related fields
  • Working knowledge in Purchasing or Logistical systems disciplines
  • Negotiation and communication skills 
  • Computer skills in Excel and Power point skills essential
  • BMW business system landscape
  • Understanding PortalM purchasing systems
  • Understanding the PO tracking system and KTL (Kaufteile Liste)
