To assess and make decision on credit applications within prescribed Credit policies, procedures and risk parameters. Drive the high focus on Dealer relationship management, and contribute to the company’s overall profitability, in compliance to the Company’s Policies.
• Perform Credit Risk assessment and Financial Analysis on individual clients applications. • Adhere to service levels and turnaround times in support of business strategy. • To evaluate all aspects relating to Credit Risk and to derive at a sound credit decision. • Keep abreast with what’s happening within the market place and more specifically with regards to process and credit policy. • Maintain an objective and consistent approach to credit assessment. • To build and maintain relationships with internal /external business partners. • Respond to e-mail and CIC e-mails as well as inbound and outbound telephone calls. • Development of self through training programs and on the job training. • To provide input and recommendation on process optimisation for system enhancements within the department.
Qualifications and experience
• 3 year degree in Finance/ Accounting or other related qualification; • 3 years’ experience in credit holding a mandate; • Sound knowledge and understanding of vehicle asset finance; • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the credit environment. • Computer Literacy (Ms Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook) • Understanding of Financial Statement analysis and Ratio interpretation • Knowledge of relevant compliance and financial legislation (e.g. NCA, FICA, FAIS, POPIA, TCF, etc.) • The ability to work well under pressure
